Debate and Discussion: Does the Obama Administration favor one demographic over another.
My position is the Obama Administration phrases white on black violence differently than black on black, white on black, white on white, gay on straight, straight on gay and muslim on non muslim. Lets hear your opinions.
Monsanto
This morning I will be talking a little bit about Monsanto and the GMO industry. GMO is an abbreviation for genetically modified organism. The concept sounds so scientific and progressive. The concept screams hope, hope for a starving world. Imagine what can be done when you modify an animal or plant to withstand drought or grow faster or larger. Now imagine what happens when these products are rushed onto the market and bribed past the FDA and force fed to you unlabeled at your local grocery store. Monsanto dominates this industry and can be held responsible for the goods and the bad's that come from these foods. So far it seems more bad than good but i will not be directly attacking Monsanto today because they have lobbied to make that a crime.
When you go to your local grocery store you can quickly find that most of these foods are processed, but what is not so well known is that 70% of processed foods include GMO's within them. These foods do not contain a label to inform you of this fact because Monsanto, with it's vast lobbying power has destroyed these attempts every time they have arisen since the 1970's. The international community had made some progress in this regard. The European Union, Japan, China, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and many other minor nations all require GMO labeling. Closer to home the average American eat over 200 pounds of meat per year. We must stop to consider what we are eating. We should have a right to know what is in our food.
You might wonder why don't have this right. Maybe it has to with the fact that Monsanto spent at least 8,831,120 dollars in legal lobbying to the Federal government via their PAC's in one year alone. This goes contrary to democracy and when the indirect affect of this lobbying is that in 1972 the FDA conducted about 50,000 food safety inspections per year and are now down to about 9,164 as of 2006. In the last several years we have seen huge increases in food-borne illness in humans and the time has come to call for labeling and identify the source of this threat to human health.
When it comes down to the concept of GMO's I am not against them. I am however against Monsanto. I am against the lobbying of the FDA and I am definitely against poisoning the American people. When the day comes that Monsanto is held accountable for their crimes against humanity and the American people a new GMO
organization will take it's place. That is the time to be on the watch for abuse, and so long as we can hold that future organization accountable we can expect healthy and honest GMO based food and safely feed the world. If you think that we cannot definitely prove Monsanto's guilt then sleep soundly with the realization that they have monopolized the food industry and lobby against third party investigation of their food and product's health affects.

Joe Biden for President?
This election cycle is among the most unusual in this century. With open Socialists on one side of the spectrum and extremist Christians on another, along with the staunchest Capitalist since Reagan.
their seems to be no moderate in sight and the nation is poised to face serious changes with the election of a new POTUS.
Enter Joe Biden, who I do not consider to be a moderate but who I believe the people will. The Vice president of the Obama administration will shake the race if he chooses to enter and I think he will. If Biden announces he will be the most electable moderate choice, but is he really a moderate?
Biden Supported the Assault Weapons Ban as well as stricter punishment for the victim-less crime of drug use and distribution. Biden oversaw the 787 Billion dollar tax theft bailout and has never spoken out against Socialism through words, policy or action.
It's hard to to say what he is or is not responsible for under the Obama administration, but with an administration saturated with scandal and reckless decisions I take the stance that it is best to clean house. Despite the radical options for POTUS we are currently faced with we must consider what we are left with with an elected Biden. The continuation of the failed Affordable healthcare Act is a definite consequence, as well as continued international embarrassment. Biden has bowed to the will of our enemy's as well as the current president. He is a "yes man" that cannot be predicted and he is among the most dangerous options for the next President of the United States.

Sharia Law In the UK
Muslims in Europe are creating a stir again by making the bold claim the the United Kingdom's law enforcement does not have the right to arrest a Muslim female. This female was the wife of a radical Muslim involved in a terror bombing witch killed (insert death toll) innocent people. This is just the latest in radical Muslim misbehavior in England and the world.
My concern is for the moderate Muslims safety in Europe. countries are starting to close their borders to Muslim immigration and some playing with even more dangerous ideas. France almost elected a relative of a Nazi who claimed Islam was not compatibility with democracy. I am worried that the Muslims may be treated like or worse than the European Jews of world war 2.
The Muslims who are unable to assimilate to the countries they immigrate to should stay home for they risk the safety of moderate Muslims living in western countries. I myself am not anti-Muslim, but there are millions who are and they do pose a threat to the Muslim people of the world. Lets not give them a reason to become radical. To live in a hate free world we must respect the culture of others and not disturb their way of life. This is not happening in England for the English people's way of life.

Disgusting School
This morning a
Michigan school denied entry to an officer in uniform who was walking his daughter
to work based on fears that students would be offended by the presence of an
American soldier. This form of discrimination is gaining prevalence in our
society and we need to discuss how and why this is happening, and what can be
done to fix it.
The
Superintendent of the school has apologized for the schools action but the security guard has not been fired. Beyond just public perception their needs to be consequences for this type of discrimination. The security guard should have been let go and charged with discrimination. unfortunately this is not an isolated event.
Schools across the country are over stepping their bounds by infringing on parental rights and denying freedom of expression out of fear of offended parents. I don't ever remember a school official asking if I was offended or not about anything. The bottom line is these days Americans fear conflict and while intentions may be good it must be know that you cannot appease everyone, and we should not demonize our soldiers in uniform because of pacifist teachers or children who don't know any better.

Is Police Demilitarization the Solution?
With a rising social awareness of police crimes I will be shifting some focus onto them and their brutality, But more specifically a solution to their madness. I will be comparing the difference between accountability and militarization.
The Stop Militarizing Law Enforcement Act, spearheaded by Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson is a proposal that will cripple our nations ability to fight domestic terrorism. Being well armed does not make you a murder. While the growing concern for police behavior and this proposal seem to go hand in hand, they are unrelated.
What congress should be looking into is a police accountability act. We need to find an effective way to hold the police accountable for their crimes against the people through non-violent means. Police are losing the respect they once had in this country because of their actions and if we do not restore this respect future generations of police. Below is a list of link detailing the Bill and police crimes. Remember to check out CopBlock to learn how to make a difference.
